Christmas Revels

The Christmas Revels: A French Canadian Celebration of the Winter Solstice

presented at the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth

Christmas Revels 2016 travels to the beautiful province of Québec and the classic story of The Flying Canoe!

In the classic French Canadian tale of La Chasse-galerie, a group of lonely voyageurs working in the northern timberland go to extraordinary (one might say devilish) lengths to meet up with their far away sweethearts on a New Year’s Eve. We’ll be giving this classic tale the Revels treatment with a cast and chorus of regional performers, and with featured musical artists, Québécois trio Genticorum.
