An Important Update from our Artistic Director

Hello friends, Alex Cumming here, Artistic Director here at Revels North. It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that there will be no Midwinter Revels show this year. This past couple of years has been incredibly tough financially for us, like many other arts organizations, and rebuilding as an organization from the pandemic has been a lot tougher than we could have imagined. We are now in a financial crisis as an organization and have had to take the very difficult and hard decision to not return with our traditional Midwinter Revels Show this year. These productions cost 10's of thousands of dollars to put on, from performers, venue, lighting, sound, set, costumes and so much more and trying to put on a show of this magnitude this year would end our organization for good, which as many of you know also provides magical and valuable multi-generational programming for the community throughout the year.

So, with this decision we will be focusing our work on a brand-new fundraising campaign which will be coming soon, this will have a detailed breakdown of what it takes to run our Revels organization and what your money and fundraising efforts will directly support. So please watch this space for more information on this coming soon!In the meantime, one way to really support the magic that is Revels North is to support our year round programs.

For example, Saturday 13th April sees the exciting return of the Revels Spring Sing which not only features a concert and sing-along in the evening, but also a full day singing workshop where we will learn some stunning VT/NH song in 3 and 4 part harmony. We are overjoyed for this year's Spring Sing to be joined by the fabulous folk singer Jennifer Curtin who will be performing as part of the evening event.

We also have a very exciting SUMMER REVELS DAY coming up on June 9th in Fairlee VT, and the return of Revels Kids in September along with many other fun activities including Community Dances, Pub Sings and more.

You can find out more about our upcoming programming by heading to RevelsNorth.org. The success and your support of these programs will ensure that Revels North will continue to exist and grow for many years to come.

Please reach out to me (Alex Cumming), our Executive Director Julia Hautaniemi or our amazing board if you have any questions.

We appreciate you all so much and we look forward to seeing you all at an event very soon.
